United Airlines Customer Complaint Music Video

Dave Carroll, lead singer of the group Sons of Maxwell, had a bad experience with United Airlines. He did what we’ve all dreamed of doing when we get bad service, writing a song about it and making it into a hit viral video.

That’ll teach United. Not to be careless with musicians’ luggage at least.

Oh, and can someone explain why his bandmates are wearing Mexican hats and pornstaches. Are they also implying some sort of discrimination against Mexican porn stars on the part of United Airlines?

United, for it’s part, has acknowledged the video.

To their credit, United has called the video a “unique learning opportunity” for customer service and has requested to use the music video internally to help change the way they interact with customers.

Visible Measures

Um, but what about replacing Dude’s guitar? I didn’t hear an apology in that, “Can we use your video internally?” To be fair, United broke it’s policy of not offering money for damaged luggage in Carroll’s case — after his video went viral. He said no thanks, give the money to charity.

In related news, I’ve declared myself a charity.
