You’ve heard about it on NPR, HuffPo, The Daily Beast and elsewhere. Here’s the vid by 13-year-old Rebecca Black that everyone is talking about, a video which appropriately celebrates this day, the greatest of all days: Friday…
Someone needs to explain to me how this is any different than Justin Bieber’s hit song “Baby” which features a similar triple refrain (“Baby, baby, baby”) and an incongruous rap verse. And Rebecca Black is a far more attractive and appealing young lady than Justin Bieber, who looks a lot like a little boy — just my opinion. What makes a nation decide one song is “terrible” (news flash – she didn’t even write it!) and another deserving of a 3D movie biography/concert video extravaganza?
I hope the company that produced the video, arkmusicfactory.com, is giving most of the profits to Rebecca. It seems they are already trying to mint the next pop diva right behind her, with similar videos for Alana Lee and Ariana Dvornik…
I’ll leave you with the rap remix of “Friday”, hot off the Ark Music Factory presses…
