Downton Abbey: The Super Nintendo Game

If you like this, you’ll probably also enjoy Jimmy Fallon’s elaborate parody of the PBS hit series Downton Abbey, Downton Sixby – named after the stage, 6B, on which his show is filmed:

And, for those who just can’t get enough of Downton Abbey parodies, here is the take from the Sketchy! show, “Downton Arby’s”:

I’ve seen the full 3rd season, by the way. All I’ll say is, poor Edith, poor Sybil and Lady Mary, eh.

Gary Oldman Asks NBA Players to Please Stop Trying to Act

Award-winning actor Gary Oldman has a very special message for the the athletes of the NBA…

This could be a whole series. I’d like to see Gary Oldman go off on other classes of “actors” such as reality t.v. stars, rappers, and Sean Penn.

Crazy Eyebrow Kids and Their Imitators

This ad for Cadbury chocolate won a lot of awards. Justifiably.

Here’s how the ad was created… or at least a theory…

Many have tried to imitate the ad — including Lily Allen of all pop stars. Embedding is disabled on that clip, so enjoy some lesser-known imitators before clicking away…

E.T. Sequel Trailer

I was not aware until just today when the trailer released that a sequel to E.T.: The Extraterrestrial was in the works. The followup is called E.T.: Extinction and it revisits the same characters (played by the same actors) who were beloved in the first film.

Amazing that they could get that cast… and release in that many 3D technologies. Start investing in stock for Reece’s Pieces, cause this film is gonna be HUGE!

Unbelievably, this isn’t Spielberg back for the sequel. (Maybe that’s for the best, given what he did in the last Indiana Jones movie.) The filmmakers, Robert Blankenheim aka Derek Johnson, isn’t totally unknown. He’s also responsible for another major sequel… Titanic 2.
