I was not aware until just today when the trailer released that a sequel to E.T.: The Extraterrestrial was in the works. The followup is called E.T.: Extinction and it revisits the same characters (played by the same actors) who were beloved in the first film.
Amazing that they could get that cast… and release in that many 3D technologies. Start investing in stock for Reece’s Pieces, cause this film is gonna be HUGE!
Unbelievably, this isn’t Spielberg back for the sequel. (Maybe that’s for the best, given what he did in the last Indiana Jones movie.) The filmmakers, Robert Blankenheim aka Derek Johnson, isn’t totally unknown. He’s also responsible for another major sequel… Titanic 2.
